Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has named a strong starting line-up ahead of this evening’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against minnows Eritrea at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.
The Red Sea Camels are unable to host South Africa in their country as they have no CAF approved home stadium but will bank from having an Egyptian coach in Hesham Yakan who was formerly at the helm of Zamalek to come toe-to-toe against the South Africans.

Eritrea came close to pulling off a famous win against Kenya in their Group D opener away but saw three points disappear after an 87th-minute equaliser from the Kenyans.
South Africa on the other hand picked up a vital 2-1 home win over Guinea at Orlando Amstel Arena in Pitso Mosimane’s first competitive result in this second spell, with his charges now top of the group on three points.
The two sides are facing off for the first time with Bafana ranked 50 in the world while Eritrea sit in 184th place.
