Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Happy Mashiane has resurfaced at Siwelele FC as his search for a new club continues.
Mashiane has been a free agent since June 2026 after agreeing with Chiefs to terminate his contract after a difficult spell in the past two seasons.
The Tembisa-born player joined the Amakhosi development structures as a teenager before being promoted to the senior team at the start of 2019.
The 28-year-old has been pushing to get a new team, but after assessments at Stellenbosch FC under Gavin Hunt, he wasn’t signed only because the club felt he wasn’t fit enough.
The latest update on his future is that he has been going through assessments at Siwelele FC, which started two weeks ago.
He hasn’t signed yet but is familiar with the surroundings as he was on loan at Siwelele last season, but he only featured once.
