Bafana Bafana forward Relebohile Mofokeng completed 56 minutes for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise who were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Oud-Heverlee Leuven at Stade Joseph Marien on Sunday afternoon.

The draw sees USG draw their second league game of the season after eight matches while they also missed out on claiming top spot where they would’ve replaced first-placed Gent.

The home side fell behind thanks to Davis Opoku’s strike in the 17th minute for the slender advantage into the break.

The 21-year-old South African international was hauled off just 10 minutes into the second half with Raul Florucz taking his place.

With the home side facing the jaws of defeat in the face, Opoku went from hero to villain by turning the ball into his own net in the 66th minute.

Neither side could get a win with the spoils shared as USG dropped to fourth place while Leuven now sit in 14th.

Gilloise will now look to continue their impressive UEFA Europa League campaign when they host Real Sociedad on Thursday, October 15, after hammering Viktoria Plzeň 3-0 in the first match.
