Richards Bay and Mamelodi Sundowns have revealed their respective starting lineups for the Betway Premiership encounter at Princess Magogo Stadium this evening.
Life begins for the Natal Rich Boys under the leadership of Bulgarian coach Dimitar Pantev after he was appointed as head coach three weeks ago. Pantev has a huge task on his hands with his charges yet to win a game this season, suffering four defeats and drawing three games. They are currently in 14th place with three points, scoring nine goals and conceding 16.
Meanwhile, Sundowns is the most in-form side currently in South Africa as they’ve already picked up two trophies in the space of a month. The African Champions come to this game at the back of a huge MTN8 final win against Orlando Pirates.
Downs aim to keep the top spot in the league this evening by winning. They currently have 20 points after eight matches, and they are the highest scoring side with 19 goals.
In the last four meetings between the two sides in Durban, Sundowns won three and one match ended as a draw. It is a happy hunting ground for the 2026 MTN8 champions.
