Young Africans SC head coach Manqoba Mngqithi was left unimpressed despite his team’s 4-0 win over Madagascar champions CFFA in the CAF Champions League preliminary second round first leg clash.

Mngqithi’s side bounced back from their 2-1 defeat in the Kariakoo Derby against its biggest rivals Simba SC to thump CFFA to take a huge advantage ahead of the second leg this week.

The Tanzanian giants created many opportunities in the first half but converted only one, going into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Mngqithi must have delivered an aggressive team talk at halftime, as his troops came back much better at taking their chances in the second half, scoring three goals to make it 4-0 away from home.

After the match, Mngqithi was left worried by the fact that his team didn’t take enough of their chances, stating that this might haunt them one day, especially in high-stakes games like those in the CAF Champions League.

“Strangely I am not as excited with the four goals in as much as I must give credit to the boys for the way they responded after the half-time team talk,” Mngqithi told the media.

“But my unhappiness is with the number of chances we don’t take because I know one day it will haunt us.”
