Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has poured cold water on the much talked about incident between goalkeeper Renaldo Learner and midfielder Reeve Frosler that followed their CAF Confederation Cup second round preliminary first leg match against Red Arrows.
Learner started the encounter in Ndola last weekend as Brendan Petersen was still out with injury and Frosler was one of the central midfielders as Chiefs conceded one against Arrows.
A video of the two looking like they were arguing circulated on social media after the game.
In the video Frosler appears to be pointing a finger at Leaner with the likes of Bruce Bvuma separating them. The video has sparked debate about speculated issues between players in the dressing room.
Da Cruz fielded questions from the media about the incident ahead of the second leg at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Thursday where he said he did not need to speak to the players about the matter because there really isn’t an issue.
“There was no issue because we didn’t need to resolve something,” said Da Cruz.
“We just make a sport with emotions and sometimes after games, the emotions are very high.
“And it’s between two players who share what they think there was no problem.”
“I didn’t need to speak to the players because there was no issue and that’s all.”
