Mandla Ncikazi has been unveiled as new Golden Arrows head coach after leaving Orlando Pirates and the sacking of Pitso Dladla.
Earlier, Pirates had confirmed Ncikazi left his role as assistant to Abdeslam Ouaddou “to take up a head coach role”.
A few hours later, Dladla was dismissed by Arrows despite only losing two games so far. He had replaced Manqoba Mngqithi, who left to coach Young Africans SC in Tanzania.
Arrows had started their first six games unbeaten, including wins over Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8, but were now five games without a win.
As a consequence, Abafana Bes’thende now announced the return of Ncikazi, who guided them to a fourth place finish in the 2020/21 season before joining the Buccaneers.
