Orlando Pirates have announced their starting lineup for the second leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round against African Stars FC tonight at Orlando Amstel Arena.
It has been six days since the first leg of the CAF Champions League between Pirates and African Stars, where the Buccaneers won 1-0.
Pirates have since travelled to South Africa from Botswana and had time to rest as they didn’t have any midweek fixtures; same with Stars. Buccaneers aim to progress to the CAFCL group stages for the second time in three seasons.
Abdeslam Ouaddou and his troops have had an excellent run in the league having only conceded one league goal this season. Meanwhile, African Stars aim to make it to the group stages for the first time in their history.
A win or draw for Pirates will see them progress to the group stages, while a two-goal margin win for Stars will see them progress and a 1-0 win will send the game to penalties.
This is how both teams square up:
Pirates Starting XI: Chaine, Zulu, Seema, Sigomoshe, Ndaba, Mbatha, Selepe, Mokobodi, Masilele, Moremi, Makgopa
Subs: Dladla, Derbyshire, Hotto, Mthiyane, Dansin, Padime, Kgositsile, Lungu, Mbuthuma
