IDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye says Wandile Duba was a big difference in Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 thrashing of TS Galaxy in the first round of the Carling Knockout Cup at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

Duba, 22, scored a hat-trick in the second half to help his side progress to the quarter-finals of the tournament. The hat-trick has brought his goal tally to six across all competitions this season.

Meanwhile the former Amakhosi winger hailed the youngster’s impact in the game, saying he likes his relentless attitude adding and that if Duba can be consistent he can be a top striker for his side.

“In today’s game he was clinical and well done to him,” said Khanye on IDiski TV.

“I think he was the difference in the whole game. The boy has a never say die attitude that’s what I’ve observed. Very arrogant and that helps him because he uses it on the pitch, just that obviously he’ll need to control it here and there.

“Even that sign he does after scoring he doesn’t need to do that because in three, four games when he doesn’t score it’ll be used against him and it might affect him. He must just keep quiet, get results, and when he scores we’ll clap for him.

“He’s not the most skilful striker but what I love about him he makes clever runs, arrogant on the ball and when he has the ball he has that thing that you can’t take it easily from him. He also hustles goals and when you make a mistake he’ll punish you.

“He has games and moments he shows up, he needs to be consistent and I think he can be a top striker for Chiefs.”
