South Africa’s national U15 side has booked their spot in the last 16 at the inaugural 2026 FIFA U15 Boys World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday morning.

The Mzansi boys were once again in rampant mood by hammering Malaysia 6-2 to seal progression after an impressive run in the group stages of three wins, one draw and one defeat.

Camden Schaper scored four goals while Tshiamo Mashishi and Alex Van Der Werf each grabbed a goal. They now await the winner between Jamaica and Portugal for a spot in the quarterfinals.

On Monday, the South Africans pulled off a major upset when they defeated log leaders France 3-2 in a pulsating final group stage clash.

South Africa finished the group with 10 points, one behind Estonia who won the group but pipped France with a better goal difference.
