Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rayaan Jacobs admits that they face a stern test against Sekhukhune United in their bid to seal passage to the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup.

The two teams once again renew their rivalry in the fourth meeting this season across different competitions.

The Buccaneers triumphed in all three encounters which included a two-legged MTN8 semifinal, as well as a Betway Premiership clash.

Jacobs is aware of the threat Babina Noko poses but has asserted that they know how to overcome the daunting task in order to qualify for the last four.

“Look, of course we’ve played them three times before. Twice in the MTN8 and we’ve overcome them in the league,” he told OP TV.

“I think it makes the task a little harder. They know us, we know them. It’s about who comes up with the right game plan on the day.

“We know what Sekhukhune are all about. They can play multiple systems, their quick players they can get behind you.

“They can play between the lines, they really good in the build-up, they defend well but we know we have all the tools to beat them.

“We’ve managed to overcome them three times, and we’ll be looking to make it a fourth.

“Our objective is to retain this title and make sure we progress to the semi-finals.”
