After their 1-0 win on Wednesday, Marumo Gallants head coach Dan Malesela says it was a tough game against Sekhukhune United.
Joseph Malongoane scored a second-half winner for Malesela’s team, as the coach returned to the bench, having sat out in recent games after a positive covid-19 test.
Malesela, while happy with the win, says his team needs to continue improving, as sometimes they can be their own worst enemy.
“Look, not not easy,” Malesela said after the game.
“Obviously, we did expect the game to be very difficult and it was indeed difficult. This is just not a team that you can push over.
“I think for better parts of the game we handled ourselves well, hence the result.
“The one thing that we need to be very careful of, is being our own enemy, we shoot ourselves, we make mistakes where it’s not necessary, we make things very difficult where we shouldn’t be making them difficult.
“But this is a learning process, so we flow with it and so long as we get points and we go on with this thing, it will work well for us.”
