Two Premier League Soccer League (PSL) strikers found the net for Malawi in their Africa Cup of Nations warm-up friendly.
Despite only featuring in 141 minutes of first-team football for Orlando Pirates this season due to injury and off-the-field issues, Mhango looks in good touch ahead of AFCON in Cameroon this month.
The 2019/20 Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot winner scored and assisted Polokwane City striker Khuda Muyaba in their 2-1 victory over Comoros – who are also competing at the continental showpiece – on Friday.
Mhango opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a free kick before providing the assist for Mayuba to score just before the break from an acute angle.
Faiz Matoour scored a second-half consolation from the spot but the Flames held firm to secure a morale-boosting win in Saudi Arabia.
They are set to face Mali next before preparing for AFCON on Wednesday 5th January.
