CAF is said to have allocated 10,000 tickets for the reigning champions for the controversial final that is set to be played at the Stade Mohamed V, the home ground of their opponents Wydad Atheltic Club.
However, Ahly claims, ahead of the final in Casablanca this evening, that there have been some issues within the organisational process in regards to the distribution of the tickets amongst the two sides and what was set to be used by CAF.
A total of 10,000 tickets were agreed to be distributed between the home side Wydad and Ahly, while 20,000 further tickets were made available to the general public – which is believed to have been quite the challenging process for those who’ve attempted to book tickets with over 300,000 fans at one point on the waiting list via the FRMF website last week.
Ahly also stated in the letter that it was not available for Egyptian fans to purchase online which has created a scenario where fans would need to collect tickets individually via the club.
The Red Devils confirmed they have now sent a request to the Egyptian embassy to solve the ‘crisis’ in Casablanca.
