Meanwhile JVW dropped two points in Pretoria against Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) to drop to second position with 17 points. JVW and TUT played to a 2-2 stalemate, a result that saw TUT remain in 10th place right behind Thunderbirds with nine points with a game in hand, and only a point separating the sides.Â
Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies maintained third spot on the table with their 2-0 win over Richmond United. Siwelele have 15 points while United slipped to eight spot with 10 points both from seven matches.
University of Western Cape (UWC) are right behind Celtic with 14 points following their 3-0 victory over First Touch Academy. The Limpopo side are 12th with eight points also from seven outings.Â
University of Johannesburg (UJ) returned to winning ways with a 5-0 drubbing of Golden Ladies at home. UJ moved up to fifth position on the standings with 13 points from seven encounters while Ladies remain at the bottom of the log with a single point from the same number of games.
Coal City Wizards and MaIndies Ladies were the other big winners as they defeated City Lads and Tsunami Queens 5-0 and 5-2 respectively. The Wizards and MaIndies lie in sixth and seventh places on the standings tied on 12 points respectively from seventh games. Lads are now second from bottom while the Queens are above them both with a single point from seven matches.
Rookies Vasco Da Gama suffered their fifth loss of the season as they narrowly lost 1-0 to Durban Ladies. Vasco dropped to 13th place while the Kwa Zulu Natal based outfit moved up to 11th spot on the log. Vasco have six points in seven games while Durban Ladies have nine from six games.Â
