Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has joined Royal AM, the club confirmed on Friday.
The defender had been without a club since leaving Pirates at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
It is understood that the 35-year-old was offered a non-playing role with the Buccaneers, however, he felt he still has more to give to the beautiful game as player.
There had been reports that Jele was in talks with Royal AM ahead of the season but a move never materialised. However, he had now reappeared at the club after he was spotted in training pictures shared by the club.
This publication heard on Deadline Day that Jele was back at the club, but there weren’t further information initially on whether he had indeed signed.
On Friday morning, Royal AM confirmed Jele’s arrival.
