UCL: Liverpool & Real Starting XIs Announced

Liverpool and Real Madrid have announced their starting XIs for tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash.

The Reds face Los Blancos in a rematch of last season’s final, when Thibaut Courtois put in a Man of the Match performance in a 1-0 win.

Overall, Real are unbeaten in six successive clashes with Liverpool, winning five of them.

The visitors have won seven of their last nine games in all competitions, including the last four and qualified from their group as winners.

The hosts, meanwhile, finished their group in second place behind Napoli despite winning five of their six games.

They’ve had a shaky start to 2023, picking up just three wins in their last nine games in all competitions, but recent wins over Everton and Newcastle United have given them new momentum.

Here is how they line up:

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Bajcetic, Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Ruediger, Alaba, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Rodrygo, Vinicius, Benzema

Subs: Lunin, Vallejo, Nacho, Hazard, Kroos, Asensio, Odriozola, Vazquez, Ceballos, Martin, Arribas, Alvaro
