Marques Looks Forward To Gallants Game

Cape Town City goalkeeper Hugo Marques says Marumo Gallants may be in form at the moment, but City are looking to keep their good home record when they host Dan Malesela’s team on Saturday.

City host Gallants at the DHL Stadium (Cape Town Stadium) on Saturday, as the Mother City team look to improve on their log position.

Marques says Gallants have had a great start to the year, but he adds that City enjoys playing against teams who play ‘positive football’.

“It’s going to be a hard game because Marumo has been doing well in the last few matches,” Marques told the club’s media department.

“They are a team who plays a positive game and we like those kind of games.

“It’s one more test on our home ground. We want to keep our good record in DHL stadium and continue our journey to reach the goals we set out at the start of the season.”

Marques has also been called up the Angolan national team once again, and he is proud to be in the final list.

“For me it’s always a proud moment to be at the final list for the national team,” he continued.

“Once more I will give everything to the nation to make the people there proud of us. I know we are on the right track of success.

“Being Cape Town City’s number one gives me even more confidence for the future here and the national team also.”
