Polokwane City have made changes in their technical team for the third time this season as Phuti Mohafe takes the interim head coaching role.
Duncan Lechesa led City’s return to topflight football after three seasons of absence. Rise and Shine roped in Lehlohonolo Seema as the senior coach to Lechasa.
Despite starting the season lukewarm winning two and losing three, City trusted the process and had faith in Seema as he continued to strive with the side.
Since last losing 2-0 against Mamelodi Sundowns, the orange army hasn’t lost a league game, instead they lost Seema as he resigned and joined Sekhukhune United.
The Limpopo-based side didn’t look far on who to replace Seema with as they let Mohafe take charge of the club as the head coach on an interim basis and goalkeeper coach Phokolo Ramokgopa will also help as assistant coach.
Mohafe was in charge of the side when Seema was in Lesotho for family matters against Stellenbosch FC in the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal. He has been with the club since Motsepe Foundation Championship days.
City will face TS Galaxy in the upcoming league match, they will look to continue with their unbeaten run, and maybe change draws to wins.
