It’s not only going to be a battle on the field in today’s Carling Knockout final between Stellenbosch and TS Galaxy, but also in the stands between the travelling die-hard supporters of both clubs.
In this week’s iDiski Times, we spoke to two of those superfans, Galaxy’s Nelson ‘Big Man’ Phiri and Stellies’ Siyamcela ‘Siya’ Banzana.
Both superfans will be at the Moses Mabhida this afternoon, and hoping their team comes out victorious on the day.
“The final is a must,” Phiri told iDiski Times.
“That’s a massive game we’ve been waiting for. We’ll be there on time, wait for the final and lift the cup.
“We are still arranging with other supporters to see who will travel by taxi and bus and those who are flying.
“As a big supporter it’s always nice to travel with fellow supporters and sing all the way until we arrive in eThekwini, so that they feel our vibe.”
“We are going there,” Siya confirmed.
“We will be there. The Maroons will be there.
“You must look for the Maroons, the Maroons will be there at Moses Mabhida Stadium, you’ll see.
“We will be there behind our boys singing, dancing and cheering.”
