Stellenbosch FC midfielder Antonio Van Wyk won’t come free or cheap for any club that wants him with his contract only due to expire in 2025.
The 21-year-old has made 60 appearances and scored five goals for Stellies since making his debut in the 2021/22 season.
The South African U23 player, who has also been capped at senior level at the 2022 COSAFA Cup, has attracted the interest of several teams after his good showings for Stellies.
The former Ubuntu Academy graduate will remain forever in the history books of the Cape Winelands side after helping them clinch their first-ever major silverware, lifting the Carling Knockout Cup.
Amid reported interest in Antonio Van Wyk, iDiski Times reached out to Van Wyk’s representative Lance Davids of Football First, who confirmed that the Stellenbosch winger was happy at the club and has another year on his contract.
“At this moment, nothing [no interest]. He has a year left in his contract. So whoever wants him will have to pay,” Davids told iDiski Times.
Van Wyk ended 2023 in excellent form, which is understood to have sparked some interest from several PSL clubs.
