Bafana & Tunisia Starting XIs Announced

Bafana Bafana and Tunisia have confirmed their starting line-ups for this evening African Cup Of Nations last Group E match at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo.

It’s do or die for both nations, as they look for a place in the round of 16. South Africa started the tournament on bad side, losing to Mali by 2-0 but they came back stronger in their second game against neighbours Namibia and won 4-0.

The 1996 AFCON winners need to get three points to secure a last 16 spot, while at least a point could also be enough, depending on the Mali-Namibia result.

Even a defeat could also still send them through, if they don’t lose by more three goals and Namibia lose to Mali.

Meanwhile, Tunisia need a win to progress to the knockout stages – any other result will see Africa’s thrid highest-ranked team go home after their opening 1-0 defeat to Nambia and a 1-1 draw with Mali.

These two sides faced each other six times and four times at the AFCON. Both sides won three matches so far.

Here is how they line up:

Bafana Bafana XI: Williams (c), Mudau, Kekana, Mvala, Modiba, Mokoena, Sithole, Morena, Zwane, Tau, Makgopa.

Subs: Mobbie, Mashego, Xulu, Appollis, Adams, Maseko, Monare, Mothwa, Lepasa, Sibisi, Mayambela, Goss

Tunisia XI: Ben Said, Elabdi, Talbi, Meriah (c), Rafia, Ben Slimane, Laidouni, Skhiri, Kechrida, Jaziri, Elyes
