CT City Closing In On AFCON Fan Favourite

Cape Town City are running against time as they look to sign Namibian international Prins Menelik Tjiueza before the PSL transfer window closes on Friday.

Tjiueza is currently at the African Cup Of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, and has helped The Brave Warriors to qualify for the knockout stages for the very first time.

The 21-year-old helped Namibia to their first-ever win at the tournament when they beat Tunisia 1-0. Following a goalless draw with Mali in their final Group E match, Namibia booked their place into the Round of 16 where they will face Angola.

Tijueza is currnetly playing in Kosovo for FK Liria. and he has made 13 appearances in the league this season, scoring four goals and assisting on one occasion.

Information received by iDiski Times state that City are looking to bring in the Liria midfielder but are running against the clock.

City don’t have much time left with them as they hope to secure the deal before the window shuts at midnight on Friday. His current contract with Liria is coming to an end in June 2024.

After Juan Zapata left this gives City a free foreign spot to bring in any foreign player.
