Kaizer Chiefs have announced that goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has penned a new two-year deal with the club.
Petersen, 29, joined the club from the now-defunct Bidvest Wits in 2021 and has since made 43 appearances for Amakhosi.
He made 11 appearances in the 2023/24 campaign but lost his starting spot initially to Itumeleng Khune before was preferred by caretaker coach Cavin Johnson, keeping three clean sheets in his four appearances.
On Thursday, Chiefs confirmed the news that Petersen penned a new deal that will keep him at the club until at least June 2026, with an option to possibly add another year.
Petersen has kept 17 clean sheets in his 43 appearances and conceded just 40 goals.
