City Closing In On Chiefs Youngster

Cape Town City are in the final stages of completing the signing of a youngster from Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Kamohelo Dhlamini is a talented midfielder that has come through both the U17 & U19 Chiefs ranks in the Gauteng Development League in the past year or so.

‘Nzingiliza’, as he is famously known in football circles, is a deep-lying playmaker who has a vision and arrogance on the ball, and possess the skills to eliminate opponents and find spaces with a pass.

iDiski Times understands that the Blue Army are in the final stages of finalising the signing, and are just waiting to receive his clearance from Naturena.

He was part of the side that won the 2024 Engen Knockout Challenge Cup last week under the tutelage of Amakhosi legend David Mathebula. They beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 in the final.

Dhlamini, who has a younger brother, Lebohang at Naturena, is poised to start a new life in the Cape where he will feature for the DStv Diski Challenge squad. He could be set to take over the void left in the middle of the park by Xhosa Manyana and Gabriel Amato, who are already training with the club’s senior side.
