Former Mamelodi Sundowns Head of Academy Shawn Bishop has completed a move to Steven Gerrard’s El-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.
Bishop, who has a Masters degree in High Performance with the faculty of Human Movement at the University of Lisbon, had left Sundowns in July 2023 after more than a decade at Masandawana.

He worked at Downs for over 12 years but was replaced by Paulo Cardoso last year.
Bishop has now accepted a new role as Head of Technical Program at Ettifaq, who are coached by Gerrard.
The Liverpool legend won 13 of his 36 games in charge, drawing 12 and losing 11 since joining the Saudi giants, finishing the 2023/24 season in sixth place.
On Wednesday, Ettifaq announced the arrival of Bishof as “Head of Technical Program”.
