Former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Mngomeni has been roped in as assistant coach to Kurt Lentjies at FC Ravens.
Ravens is an Eastern Cape-based side that is competing for promotion in the ABC Motsepe League.
A few weeks ago, this publication mentioned that the Ravens appointed Lentjies as their head coach ahead of the season.

During the announcement by Ravens, Mngomeni was also announced as the assistant coach to the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United midfielder.
The former Pirates midfielder is also part of the South Africa Under17 team alongside Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
Ravens’ aim is to at least qualify for the national ABC Motsepe League promotional playoffs which are played by nine teams from nine different provinces.
Last season, Ravens were knocked out in the round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup by their neighbours Chippa United with the score ending 2-1 in extra time.
