Nabi – I Won’t Fall Into That Trap

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi says he is willing to give every player in the squad the chance to prove themselves before the next transfer window.

Amakhosi have signed five new players at the start of this campaign with the coach admitting after the preseason friendlies and some matches that he may need more.

Key midfielder Gaston Sirino has a niggle even though the coach revealed he will give the South American a run in the Carling Knockout Cup match against SuperSport United in Polokwane, while he may be without those who were on national duty for the AFCON qualifiers.

Nabi says he’d like to see every one as he believes in their abilities while adding that he also needs to respect the current squad.

“We don’t have 12, 13 players, we have more than that,” said Nabi at the Carling Knockout Cup press conference.

“So we’ve got enough players that can replace whoever that is injured. We are trying to give everyone a chance especially those who don’t have game-time and we trust and believe in them, in their abilities to replace in their best capacities and as much as possible.

“I’m not going to fall into the trap of saying what the positions or players that we need to buy because I need to respect the players that are currently available to me.

“And at the right time, with the work that we have already started with the club, with the scouting department we’ll find that rare breed that is going to help us in the future.”
