Mamelodi Sundowns head coach has reacted to his side’s surprise 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy on Tuesday, lamenting his side’s heavy schedule.
Masandawana came into the game on the back of their 4-1 win over Orlando Pirates, with many expecting the defending champions to extend their 10-match winning streak.

However, a resilient TS Galaxy proved a stumbling block for Cardoso’s men, with Kamogelo Sebelebele scoring the only goal of the match.
“We were dominant all game, TS Galaxy defended all game,” the Portuguese tactician told SuperSport TV.
“Obviously we didn’t have the energy that we needed. Fourth match in 72 hours and we were penalised because of that.
“I think we had the better chances and we should have scored, but we were penalised with the goal in the last minute of the first half and we had no energy in the second one.”

Cardosi admitted he knew the title wasn’t over after their win over Pirates, but insisted his team will regroup and continue to push.
“The lesson is continue to look forward and continue to work,” he added.
“I always said that it’s going to be a long championship, no one heard me say nothing different than that.
“So my position today is exactly that. We will rise from today and we will finish stronger.”
