Kaizer Chiefs have climbed to the top of the DStv Diski Challenge table, while SuperSport United have sustained their title aspirations.
Amakhosi rose to the top of the DDC league table following a resounding 3-0 win over Marumo Gallants.
Naledi Hlongwane initiated the scoring for Chiefs before Siyabonga Gumede marked his first match of the season after a protracted injury absence, while Imaad Hendricks made 3-0 deep in the second half.
Chiefs have now overtaken Stellenbosch FC on the log and presently hold a two-point advantage at the top, with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, SuperSport United rebounded from a goal deficit to beat Polokwane City 3-1. Siviwe Magidigidi scored a hat-trick, with two goals from the penalty spot and one from open play, thereby elevating his goal tally to nine this season.
Matsatsantsa have now 41 points and sustained their title hopes.
Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are scheduled to play tomorrow, facing Lamontville Golden Arrows and Magesi FC, respectively.
