Magesi FC head coach Owen Da Gama doesn’t want to think too far ahead of himself in terms of the log position, even though his side have been clocking in wins recently.
Dikwena tṧa meetse recorded their second successive league win a 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows in Seshego on Saturday to rise up to 11th place on the table with 23 points from as many outings, two points from the danger zone and six points from the top half.
Da Gama said what’s on his mind is his very next game and he is not even checking the standings to see where others are.
“We take it one game at a time, that’s our thing,” said Da Gama.
“Every game for us, it’s like a cup final. That’s how we look at it. We don’t look at who’s winning, who’s got what points, who’s drawing.
“When I go and watch tonight, I’m going to watch against our next opponents, you know, I’m going to focus on them.
“I don’t care about the other teams because then you lose focus on what you want to achieve. So we are working on our next game and we are just focused on that.
“So we’re not worried about top 8, that’s still too far for us. We’re just focusing at every game as a cup final.”
