New Sifumba Update After Europe Loan

Cape Town City midfielder Luphumlo Sifumba has returned to Cape Town City after spending six months on loan at Vizela in Portugal.

The South African junior was tipped to be the next super star in South Africa after he made waves in the youth tournaments such as Engen Knockout Challenge and DStv Diski Challenge.

City wasted no time and promoted him to the senior side but he didn’t play much, as he was snatched by Vizela on loan.

Sifumba spent his six months in the U23 of Vizela, as he was still settling in and trying to find his way up to the senior side who are currently in the Portuguese Second Division and on the verge of gaining promotion, needing eight points out of the possible nine they will play for.

Information gathered by this publication states that Sifumba is back at City and has been training with the club.

With City finding themselves in the playoffs spot, they decided to bring the youngster and see if he can help the club to survive the playoffs, as they have three games to play against Mamelodi Sundowns, Polokwane City and Stellenbosch FC.

The midfield maestro has been registered by the Citizens and is expected to play a huge role in the fighting of the survival.
