Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC have their starting line-ups for the CAF Champions League final first-leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The day the whole continent has been waiting for has arrived, with the two best teams in Africa this season battling out for the new CAF Champions League trophy.
Sundowns have been struggling to reach this stage of the competition but after eliminating ES Tunis in the quarter-finals and Al Ahly in the semi-finals they finally made it to the final again.
Meanwhile, Pyramids FC shocked everyone when they reached the final after hammering AS FAR and dumping out Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals. The Egyptian side hope for beginners luck as they reach the CAFCL final for the first time in club’s history.
This will be the third time these two sides face each other. In 2023 they faced each other twice and Sundowns won one, and the other match ended as a draw at the very same stadium.
