How Pirates Could Line Up With New Signings

Orlando Pirates are set to face Bolton Wanderers in their first pre-season friendly on Friday, and here is how they could potentially line up.

The Buccaneers will meet the League One side at the Marbella Football Centre on Friday at 11:00, South African time.

Pirates fans and neutrals will be able to watch the match live on SuperSport PSL channel, or Pirates TV – with several new signings expected to start.

The Sea Robbers have already announced the signings of Sipho Mbule, Yanela Mbuthuma, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, Sihle Nduli, Oswin Appollis, and Nkosikhona Ndaba, while Mali Ligue 1 Player of the Year Abdoulaye Mariko – and his namesake – are understood to have arrived from Djoliba.

New head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will select his first line-up of the 2025/26 campaign and will likely select a mixture of proven first teamers and new signings.

Potential Pirates’ line-up:

Chaine, Van Rooyen, Sibisi, Mbokazi, Ndaba, Mbatha, Nduli, Mbule, Nkota, Mofokeng, Makgopa.

Pirates have confirmed four pre-season friendlies during their time in Spain, with Friday’s match against Bolton being followed by Pafos FC on 13 July, Las Palmas on 17 July and Granada on 19 July.
