MaMkhize On Whether Andile Mpisane Will Play For Highlanders

New Mbabane Highlanders AM Football Club president Shauwn ‘Ma’ Mkhize says her son Andile Mpisane is unlikely to play for her new club in eSwatini, as he wants to be in football management.

Mpisane featured several times for Royal AM before the club fell into SARS curatorship and was ultimately disbanded due to Mkhize’s issues with the South African Tax and Revenue Service.

But Mkhize now re-entered the football space, getting involved in Mbabane Highlanders in eSwatini. However, she believes her son, who is only just 24, will not join her new club as player.

“Jersey number 10 he wants to be in the management space now,” she told Andile Ncube on Metro FM.

When asked if he’s retiring from football, Mkhize replied: “I don’t know, for now I think so.

“Because even when Royal AM was there, he was starting to learn the administrative part of it.

“I think all what he wanted was to play in the elite league – which he did, he tasted that.

“I don’t know but for now I think he prefers to be in the management space.

“I don’t see him go there [to eSwatini] but he enjoys being in the business side of things.”
