Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has been shortlisted for the head coach role at Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia.
Former Chiefs caretaker coach is among several candidates shortlisted for the top job with the Kenyan Premier League side expected to make the decision in the coming days.
Johnson has been without a club since leaving Chiefs in July last year following the appointment of Nasreddine Nabi as their head coach.
With a lot of experience, having been an assistant coach to Pitso Mosimane at Al Ahly SC, the 66-year-old managed to make the cut of the coaches that might lead Mahia next season.
Johnson might be the first South African coach to lead a Kenyan side in the history of football should he be appointed as the head coach.
Mahia finished the FKF Premier League in second place behind Kenya Police last season.
