The closest Pirates came to opening the score was through Kabelo Dlamini’s thunderous free kick which rattled off the crossbar in the 21st minute.
In the second period, coach Ouaddou hauled off his entire squad for new 11 players with Sipho Chaine, Deano van Rooyen, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Simphiwe Selepe, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, Evidence Makgopa, Lebone Seema, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Karim Kimvuidi, Sinoxolo Kwayiba all coming on.
The Buccaneers were reduced to 10 men in the 61st minute when Chaine was shown a straight red for handling the ball outside his 18-yard area as Menzi Buthelezi entered the fray with Selepe sacrificed.
Makgopa did find the back of the net moments after but was rightfully ruled offside as the scores remained 0-0.
Pirates now look to Saturday, 19 July, as they take on another Spanish side in Granada to wrap up their preseason tour of Spain.
