Richards Bay have been crowned the 2025 KZN Premier’s Cup champions after beating Durban City 1-0 thanks to a late penalty strike from Tshepo Mabua.
The clash at the uMlathuze Sport Complex on Sunday afternoon was decided in the 90th minute penalty as the Natal Rich Boys came away with the win under the tutelage of head coach Ronnie Gabriel and his assistants Papi Zothwane and Siboniso Gumede.
Earlier on, City saw off AmaZulu in a five-goal thriller in the semi-final with a 3-2 scoreline to book their place in the final against the Natal Rich Boys.
Bay on the other hand, saw off Midlands Wanderers 3-2 in a tense penalty shootout after the match had ended 1-1 after full-time.
