Mshini Sums Up Chiefs’ Pre-season & New Players

Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has given thumbs up to their pre-season as well as the club’s new players ahead of a daunting 2025/26 campaign that lies ahead.

Amakhosi lost their second consecutive Toyota Cup tournament after going down 3-2 on penalties to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko though some players gave a good account of themselves and what the club’s fans can expect to see from them when the new campaign starts.

Mshini walked away with the Man of the Match award after showing glimpses of his old self and declared that he’s looking forward to the new season and the goals that they hope to achieve.

“Firstly, I’m so grateful. I think now it’s time that we show up,” Ngcobo told the media.

“I think personally, it’s a good start of the season. I think we had a good pre-season and we must take it from there and take the positives forward.

“Yes, I think the pre-season camp is all about that. We sit down and we talk about our goals for the season so I think we have our goals, we understand them and we just have to make sure we achieve our goals.

The 25-year-old also believes that the club’s new signings are starting to understand what’s expected of them before the new term commences.

“Firstly, it’s always great to have the diversity and I think they’ve gelled very well,” he added.

“They are our brothers now we understand them, so yeah I think we just have to work more on the field to understand the combinations.

“But I think we doing very well.”
