Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of former Cape Town Spurs captain Asanele Velebayi.
The 22-year-old has penned a long-term contract with Amakhosi after being on their radar since last season.

After the PSL DRC officially declared Velebayi a free agent on Monday in the case involving Spurs, the Glamour Boys acted swiftly in announcing the player on Tuesday afternoon after he had verbally agreed to join the club before the verdict was delivered.

“The Cape Town-born winger has signed a long-term contract with the Club.

Velebayi becomes Chiefs’ sixth signing of the season following the arrivals of Nkanyiso Shinga, Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva, Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako.
