Chippa United are edging closer to securing the services of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Harold Majadibodu.
iDiski Times can exclusively confirm that Chippa are set to secure Majadibodu on a free transfer after he parted ways with Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria FC.
The defender has already touched down in Gqeberha for this big move and the deal is expected to be secured sooner rather than later.Â
The 30-year-old was at Chippa at the beginning of pre-season and was close to joining the side, but the deal collapsed at the final stages.Â
The former Richards Bay defender recently returned from the Bafana Bafana squad where he played over 100 minutes in the CHAN tournament that is hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Chippa next visit struggling Richards Bay on Tuesday in a game that could set the tone for the season for either side as they are both yet to get maximum points this season.Â
