The decision comes after a stellar run for the team in the recent seasons, highlighted by their 2023 Carling Knockout Cup victory. They have also been competitive in all the competitions they have taken part in.
“Stellenbosch FC and Rama are proud to announce the renewal of their longstanding partnership that will see Rama continue in its role as the Club’s headline and front of shirt sponsor for the next three years,” the club announced via a statement
“Since Stellenbosch FC’s first season in the South African top-flight, Rama has stood alongside the Club
and together, the two brands have shared a remarkable journey that has taken Stellies to the 2023 Carling
Knockout trophy, two consecutive MTN8 finals, and across the African continent in the CAF Confederation
Cup for the second season running.
“Rama has been more than a sponsor – they’ve been part of our story since day one,” Stellenbosch FC
CEO Rob Benadie said.
“Their support as our headline sponsor has been vital to our progress, and this
renewal reflects a shared commitment to growing both the Club and the community that surrounds it.
Siqalo Foods Managing Director, Ross Plumbley, added, “It has been an amazing partnership, and we are
proud of our association with Stellenbosch FC.
“This partnership aligns with our commitment to driving positive social change in our communities, as we
know the role football plays in uniting communities rallying behind the team from grassroots to the big
league. We are looking forward to the next 3 years and wish Stellenbosch FC the best of success on their
remarkable journey.”
“The extension of the partnership sees both Stellenbosch FC and Rama reaffirm their commitment to
achieving new milestones together and celebrating victories on the field, while simultaneously creating a
lasting impact beyond it.”
Stellies, who are seeking further success, are set to meet Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final at Mbombela Stadium this Saturday, in a rematch of the previous final where they were defeated 3-1.
