Chippa United have made a u-turn on former Orlando Pirates striker Bienvenu Eva Nga after he was released before the current season kicked off.
The 32-year-old spent two seasons at the Chilli Boys after returning from Pirates, making 43 appearances and scoring seven goals, but he was part of the 18 players who were released by Chippa at the end of June.
However, this publication can confirm that Eva Nga reached a new agreement with Chippa on a one-year contract.
The bulky striker was recently with the Italian Serie C side Portogruaro Calcio but couldn’t be registered due to work permit issues.
After the Chili Boys failed to secure Ranga Chivaviro, they felt it was needed to bring back Eva Nga as they scored only two goals in their last 10 matches and both goals were scored by a midfielder in Khaya Mfecane against Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy.
