Latest FIFA Ranking Announce

Bafana Bafana have climbed one spot in the latest FIFA ranking, and now sit in ninth position among the African nations.

Hugo Broos’ men are currently on a 22-match unbeaten run and on the brink of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

There brilliant run has also seen them slowly climb up the FIFA ranking, where they have now overtaken Mali to sit in 55th place overall.

At the top of the CAF nations remains Morocco, who sit in 11th place overall. Walid Regragui’s men have already booked their World Cup ticket after winning all seven qualifiers so far.

The Atlas Lions are followed by Senegal, who are 18th overall, before Egypt round out Africa’s top three in 35th. Algeria in 38th and Ivory Coast in 44th complete Africa’s top five.

The AFCON winners overtook Nigeria, who dropped to 45th, just one ahead of Tunisia. Cameroon are 52nd, followed by Bafana in 55th position, with Mali dropping into 56th.

Meanwhile, Spain climbed to the top of the ranking, overtaking Argentina who dropped into third after also being overtaken by France.
