Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting line-up for the CAF Confederation Cup opener against Angolan side Kabuscorp SCP at the Estadio 11 de Novembro, Luanda.
Amakhosi return to continental football after five years after they managed to win Nedbank Cup last season, ending their 10-year long trophy drought that secured them a spot in the CAFCC.
After starting 2025/26 season with four wins and a draw, Amakhosi suffered their first defeat against Sekhukhune United on Tuesday night.
Amakhosi will be without head coach Nasreddine Nabi who is negotiating his settlement with the club’s leadership, with Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef named as coaches on the bench.
Kabuscorp comes to this game after playing only two games this season – a loss against Petro de Launda in the Angolan Super Cup final and their win in the Girabola against Interclube.
Here is how they line up:
Chiefs XI: Petersen, Mako, McCarthy, Miguel, Kwinika, Cele, Mthethwa, Mmodi, Shabalala, Lilepo, Da Silva
Subs: Ntwari, Frosler, Cross, Matlou, Ndlovu, Sirino, Vilakazi, Duba, Du Preez
