Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Free State Stars striker Diyo Sibisi has found a new club at the age of 43.
The Sahlumbe-born centre-forward has been going from strength to strength in the lower divisions sustaining a career that began in 2006.
After departing Ladysmith-born Junior Eleven, he has joined Dlangezwa Hellenic, who are competing in the ABC Motsepe League in the Stream A.
“We would like to announce the signing of Diyo Sibisi,” the club announced on social media.
“Welcome to Kwa-Dlangezwa Hellenic Football Club.”
Sibisi rose to prominence at Free State Stars from 2006 to 2009, which earned him a significant move to Sundowns in January 2009.
His time with the Brazilians was short-lived, lasting only six months before he moved to Ajax Cape Town. He was then loaned to Maritzburg United, where the deal was eventually made permanent.
His extensive list of former clubs includes University of Pretoria, Mpumalanga Black Aces, and a notable stint with Vietnamese club Tay Ninh FC in 2014.
He also turned out for Uthongathi FC, Ladysmith United, Umvoti FC, and FC Drankensburg.
