Official: Fadlu Makes Shock Simba Decision

South African tactician Fadlu Davids has confirmed his shock exit from Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

Despite not winning any silverware in his maiden season in the NBC Premier League, Davids guided the Reds of Msimbazi to the CAF Confederation Cup final last season where they fell to Moroccan giants RS Berkane in the two-legged final.

He also saw his charges finish second in the league behind perennial rivals Young Africans SC losing just two matches the entire season including that dramatic final match on the final day of the campaign where they were pipped to the title.

With the transfer market set to slam shut today, Davids has confirmed he will be leaving the East African giants and is expected to make a sensational return to Raja Athletic Club where he won the league title as assistant to Jozef Zinnbauer before taking up the Simba job.

“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Simba SC,” he said in a statement, via Instagram.

“From the moment I arrived, I felt the passion of this great club and the love of its incredible fans. Together we fought, celebrated, and grew stronger through every victory and every challenge.

“My deepest gratitude to President Mo Dewji for his inspiring leadership, vision, and constant support.

“To the players: keep fighting, keep believing, and keep lifting the badge with honour.

“To the staff and management: thank you for your trust and tireless dedication behind the scenes.

“To the Simba fans: you are the heartbeat of this club. Your voices, your songs, your unwavering passion will forever echo in my memory.

“Thank you for welcoming my family as your own.

“Simba will always be part of me, and I wish the club endless success, prosperity, and trophies ahead.

“Asanteni Sana, forever Nguvu Moja ❤️🦁

“Coach Fadlu Davids.”
