Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has secured three successive wins in the Algerian Ligue 1.
On Saturday, Alger beat Mostaganem 1-0 thanks to a goal by Zakaria Naidji.
It was their third successive win in the league after drawing the opener 0-0 with USM Alger, and saw them climb into fifth place on the log.
Alger have 10 points from four games, four less than log leaders Saoura, who have played three games more.
Mokwena’s men are also three points ahead of Sead Ramovic’s CR Belouizdad, who have collected seven points from six games so far.
Overall, Mokwena is still unbeaten in Algeria, securing four wins and two draws after also booking their spot in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
