On Saturday, Orlando Pirates had made light work of Siwelele, beating them 1-0. The big shock of the round came when Marumo Gallants knocked Mamelodi Sundowns out of the competition, beating them on penalties.
Golden Arrows eliminated Sekhukhune United 3-1, while TS Galaxy needed extra-time to beat ORBIT College.
On Sunday, Richards Bay kicked out Chippa United, beating the Chilli Boys 4-1 while Stellenbosch beat Kaizer Chiefs on penalties to make the Last 8.
After defending champions Magesi stunned AmaZulu in a five-goal thriller 3-2, the draw for the quarter-finals took place.
