Bafana Bafana legend Doctor Khumalo has sent a message of good luck and love to the senior national team ahead of their all-important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Mbombela on Tuesday evening.
Bafana head into the encounter sitting in second position in qualifying Group C with 15 points and will need to defeat Rwanda and also hope that Nigeria defeats top placed Benin. The other result = that would be favourable for Hugo Broos’s charges is a victory over the East Africans by two goals if the match in Uyo ends in a draw.
Khumalo said he has confidence in the team and that they should know they are loved no matter what happens after the game.
“Let’s just go out there, support the boys we have done this before,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder.
“Like I said this before, before I partnered with 10Bet there were no people in the stands, but we made it a point that people are coming and supporting the boys. I’m not sure if you are scared, I’m not.
“They do it [qualify] we love them, they don’t we stick with them that’s it.”
